Established NE engineering company expands into specialist manufacturing at Wilton Centre
JBA has expanded to provide specialist manufacturing at the Wilton Centre
A north-east engineering company is expanding its operations into new premises at the Wilton Centre.
JBA Engineering is creating a specialist manufacturing workshop to provide multi-disciplined engineering, manufacturing and maintenance services to companies based at the Centre and on the neighbouring Wilton site.
The expansion will create six new jobs initially, featuring staff already familiar with the Wilton Centre and their clients.
JBA explains that its mission is to offer a one-stop shop support service to the Wilton Centre tenants which draws from JBA’s significant experience in the process sector which it hopes will be seen as a major attraction to the industries operating there.
JBA considers it an ideal location to serve the residents in the Centre’s Technical Development Area plus existing and new clients within the facility and over the whole Wilton complex.
The company has provided engineering and consultancy services within the local chemical, petrochemical, energy and manufacturing industries for almost 30 years.
JBA states that this new offering sits well within its existing portfolio. Clients in the semi-tech area can draw upon JBA’s experience serving the larger chemical and petrochemical sector companies.
The comany will be also extending its own services offering clients additional capability utilising the Wilton Centre workshop for fabrication and assembly of control panels, process modules, skids, and demonstration and training rigs.
JBA Engineering, which also has its main offices at Wynyard, near Billingham, offers a range of process and mechanical engineering services including COMAH services, design and project support, asset lifecycle services and installation works across most industry sectors.
Steve Duffield, Wilton Centre’s Site Director commented: “We are very pleased to welcome JBA Engineering as it expands into the Wilton Centre.
“The company is providing a much-needed multi-disciplined manufacturing and engineering capability for tenants based here and we wish them well with their plans for future growth here.”
