Electrical training company powers ahead with relocation to Wilton Centre

March 2017

Faraday's move is Wilton Centre's largest letting for a decade

The Faraday Training Group has taken a 10 year lease on new premises at the Wilton Centre, nearly doubling its existing training and office space and creating up to six new lecturing jobs.

The move represents a major expansion for the electrical power training specialist, currently based at Skippers Lane Industrial Estate in Middlesbrough, and allows it to locate in one place and create extra classrooms and practical space to satisfy a growing demand for its courses.

Hannah Thomas, Project Manager with The Faraday Training Group, explained that the company chose the Wilton Centre for its new base for a number of reasons.

She said: “It was the perfect location as the Annexe building is large enough to meet our rare requirements. The industrial setting of the Wilton Centre also upholds the life-like experience we hope to convey to our candidates when attending courses at The Faraday Centre.”

Steve Duffield, Wilton Centre’s Site Director commented: “This a good deal for both the Wilton Centre and for Faraday Training and one of the largest deals, in terms of space, we have done in the past 10 years.

"Faraday will breathe much needed new life into this building. With its combination of offices and large spaces, and access to a high voltage power supply, it is ideal for its training needs."

The Faraday Training Group currently employs 29 staff and is based in the north east and Cyprus. It provides training for more than 2000 trainees each year in a variety of industries including oil and gas, marine and
offshore, engineering and construction, chemical, government and the public sector.

Courses are delivered by experienced and qualified lecturers, either at its purpose-designed facilities, which are equipped with a wide range of fully operational high/low voltage switchgear, or at clients’ premises in the UK
and worldwide.

Hannah added: “As well as growing our premises we are also expanding our team. We are already looking for extra lecturing staff and may also be looking to source staff for our Marketing and Sales departments.”

The Faraday Training Group is looking to complete the move to the Wilton Centre and be fully operational by September 2017.
