Presents Around the Tree

Join in the Wilton Centre’s appeal and donate a present to help a child have a Happy Christmas. Please wrap a toy, game or book and leave under our Christmas tree in main reception. Label it with the approximate age and gender of the child the present is suitable for. Children’s ages range from babies to teenagers up to the age of 16. Presents will be sent to the local women’s refuge in late December and therefore gifts should be placed under the tree by Monday 15th December.

Access Control system upgrade

The Cardkey system will be upgraded in November. The swipe card readers will be replace with new proximity system. All cards will have to be replaced as part of this exercise and more details will be cascaded by WCFM in the coming weeks to ensure as smooth a transition as possible.

Annual building evacuation

The annual emergency evacuation of the Centre took place on 11th September. Nearly 800 people exited the premises in under 4 minutes. Many thanks to all affected for their cooperation and help in completing another successful exercise this year.

Lakeside Meeting Rooms

The conference rooms on level 4 of the restaurant block are currently undergoing refurbishment. The project is due for completion at the end of November with the rooms re-opening in early December.

Lakeside Restaurant Boots and House of Fraser events

Boots will be in the restaurant selling a range of fragrances on Wednesday 17th December and Clinique products on Wednesday 26th November. House of Fraser will be here with Estee Lauder products on Friday 28th November and Friday 12th December.

Lakeside Restaurant Christmas lunches

The ever-popular Wilton Centre Christmas lunches are being held in the Lakeside Restaurant on Wednesday 17th and Thursday 18th December with sittings at either 11.45 or 12.45. Tickets cost £8.25 each and include a starter and main course. Dessert, coffee and mince pies are being provided free of charge courtesy of Taylor Shaw. The event is ticket only and they are available to buy from the restaurant, shop, R1 kiosk and the site catering van. Be sure to book early!

Lakeside Restaurant Christmas opening hours

The shop and restaurant will have reduced opening hours from Wednesday 24th December. All services will be open as normal from Monday 5th January.
