Significant safety milestone marked
Bilfinger Industrial Automation Services has announced that it has achieved 3 million man hours without a lost time injury.
The significant milestone for the Wilton Centre-based company was achieved in October 2013, following a continuous period of 5 years with zero lost time injuries.
Commenting on the achievement, Duncan Hall, Managing Director said:
“Safety is the most important deliverable in our business. For our business to achieve 5 years and 3 million man hours without a serious injury is a fantastic achievement.
“Not only are we delivering great results but our behaviours and approach to safety are exemplary and recognised by our customers. The next milestone is 5 million man hours!”
Andrew Reeve, UK HSEQ Director added: “Safety performance like this only comes about through strong and consistent safety leadership. It is directly proportional to the safety energy that is put into a business.
“Bilfinger Industrial Automation Services has continually held safety as its prime focus and this excellent result should be no surprise. We continue to focus on safety and are currently enhancing our excellent culture through the deployment of a new behavioural safety campaign called ACT Safely.”
